Pink Saturday: Lazy Summer Days

As the summer heat rises, I've noticed that someone likes to sleep more and more.  Not that he's sleeping well in all this warmth, but definitely more willing to consider a nap.  I think that it's his summer getaway plan.  But I've noticed something. He has a newfound love of pillows.  I don't really know where it came from, other than perhaps watching other people laying down, but whether propped up on one and chillaxing, or curled up beside one, Mr. Babypants likes him some pillows.

Really likes him some pillows.

Loves curling up beside them, playing with them, sometimes burying his face in them.  Loves him his pillows.

But it makes me wonder.  When should one start introducing pillows to their wee one.  He's only 14 months old but seems to be coming down pretty heavily on he side of "Likes Pillows, Prefarably Pink."

Do you think he's big enough, and are you enjoying your pillows these lazy summer days?

For more Pink Saturday, head on over to Beverly's Pink Saturday, and have a great weekend with your pillows.

I give my girl pillows. They are smaller (vintage pillowcases I was lucky enough to snag for a bargain) and I actually handmade the "pillow" to fit by using the stuffing from a big ppl pillow to make several flatter versions for her. She piles them up, hugs them, snuggles them, props her feet on them- LOVES them. And uses them for sleeping bags for all her babies haha!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog and entering my giveaway! Your son is adorable, and I don't see anything wrong with pillows...my sons are 32 and 29, they had pillows from about a year on, I dont think I put them in the crib, but on the floor or our bed if we were napping too..no problems..if you are really concerned check with your ped..
have a wonderful week!

Harriet chose to start using a pillow around the same age. I think it's just more comfortable once their head isn't so much bigger than their body. I also think it's considered "safe" after that 1 year mark

I was that awesome mom who gave my 8 month old a pillow to sleep on. Now at 20 months she refuses to sleep without her pillow. It's nothing special. Just a plain white pillow in a plain white case. But she loves it! The pillow she had when she was younger was very thin. The one she has now is a little more plush.
